Hey All,
With the recent warm weather it's time to start thinking about Carlisle. You can sign up on their website for the show but this year our club name is not in the drop down list.
When you register for the show, please select "Other" and in the club name box type, "Early Valiant and Barracuda Club" without the quotes.

For those who are new to our corner of the hobby, the club reserves and pays for a tent to use on the show field. It costs the club $175.00 to rent the tent this year and gives us a club HQ for the weekend. A nice place to get out of the sun, meet new people and just sit, relax and talk about cars and stuff.

The cool thing is that Carlisle Productions will refund us our money if we get 25 people to register under OUR EXACT NAME. That part is key, It must be exact or it won't be counted. You don't need to register with a early Valiant or Barracuda either, just register using our club name and it will help.

If you plan on going, Please help us out by doing this. Consider it a way of making a donation to the club without sending a check. I'm not interested in winning their Club Challenge, I just want to save the club some money and this is one way of doing it.

Thanks for your help with this and yes, you will see me there!

That's exactly why I'm here - I went to register and didn't see our club name on the dropdown list... have we been demoted?

Either way, I can't WAIT! We will be there on Friday this time - yay!

I hope to be there but not sure yet. I am making my mopar comeback, had a 66 cuda. It got killed by an old man backing out of a drive way on a rainy day. He was senile and I was in the wrong place and time.. Now soon to get back my newly restored 65 cuda fromula s. Not a show car has 318 as it was not numbers matching when I got it. Needs paint still but ment to be daily driver and fun car. maybe back to bracket racing after awhile. Hope to be in Carlisle, I have gone too many times to count including last year with a friend. I live in southern Md and will be there if all works out.

Yeah, I warped the center section cruising into Carlisle last year. I swapped it with an Edelbrock. It runs pretty well.

Yes, I like the eddy 600 I am using. I spaced it up and used the heat insulator from edelbrock also.
With the dist. dialed into my motor by Don Gould at 4secondsflat.com I get about 22mpg at 75 mph.
3:23 gear. I am real content with the car.
I hope to get to Carlisle some time... Have fun.

Hey All. If you never met John Samsen, he will be giving a presentation at Carlisle again this year. He is one of the designers of the Barracuda. To hear a first hand account of our cars design history is vert interesting and I encourage you to go.

I received an email from him last night to let us all know he would be there so lets make it a point to support him. Below is the email.

Roger,

Thought you might want to let your club members know that I will be giving a seminar on Mopar designing at the seminar tent at 2:30 Friday. I designed the big backlite on the '64 Barracuda, which I also named. Also did the front on the '67 Barracuda.

I also will have a spot in building T most of each day of the event. Happy to meet Valiant and Barracuda fans!

It was a Celebrity Pick... but not one of the "BIG" celebrities. It was from Ray Kuter, MML coordinator. He picked it because it is a survivor car that is driven and enjoyed.

Does anyone else have pics to post? The card in my digital camera bombed out and I lost everything!

I hope John Samsen comes back next year - I had my picture taken with him...

Did anyone get pictures of the retro (new) 'cuda that they were raffling off?
