What was Formula S production for 1965? It's a question we all ask, but nobody seems to know...until now.

Looking at the production numbers on the EVBC website, it would seem that 683 1965 Barracudas had the Formula S package.

How did I get this number? Do the math.

40522 - (4505 + 4874 + 30460) = 683 unaccounted for.

1965 Barracuda - 8 cylinder--------40,522
w/ 273 4bbl automatic----------------4,505
w/ 273 4bbl 4-speed------------------4,874
w/ 273 2bbl total---------------------30,460

I don't think I've ever seen a Barracuda with Commando V8 and 4 speed that was not a Formula S. I wonder where these 4874 cars went?

I'm being a little "tongue in cheek" about this. I'm sure a lot of the numbers shown include the FS cars, I'm simply pointing out that 683 cars are not accounted for in those numbers.

It's too bad cars didn't have bar codes or satellite tracking devices so we could track them all and know how many are still alive
