Are the earlier 64-65 heater core boxes the same as 66? The heater core on my 66 Valiant is missing the front and I'm wondering what other years will fit.

I am 99.9% sure they are the same. I have my box out of my 65 Cuda & looking at the repair manual for 1966 Plymouths they look the same to me, but I never had units side by side to check.

I have a front off a 66 barracuda that I don't need.

1964 is different, the whole box can be changed, as the dampners are in different positions.

Wanderer, I found out the same thing. The 63's though are the same as the 64's. I wonder if the 65's and the 66's are the same?

My parts book lists front housing (PN 1-48-707) and rear housing (PN 1-48-125) the same part no. for 64 1/2 to 69 Barracuda. (Didn't know there was a 64 1/2!) So I would think it would be the same for all A body those years. I do know that my Brother's 63 Valiant box is different.

That makes since, the 63 and 64 A-bodies have pull cables instead of slide levers controlling the heaterbox. Except for the 64 1/2 Barracuda's, theres are like the 65 and up style. If I'm not mistaken.
