Just got my "new" 64 Dart GT off the transporter the other day. Fresh CA rust free metal. Not an east coast car for sure! Now; what to do with it! I'm thinking 360/904/8.75. Maybe AWB??

The advantage of the 904 over the 727 for the early A's are: lighter design, small physical size for better fitment into the tunnel and the high gear efficiency; 75HP to turn a 727 vs. 35HP to turn a 904 in high gear. With a proper build, a 904 can easily hold 500+hp.

nothing wrong with the pushbutton slant. just a 360/904 AWB car would be SO much more fun....eh?

Good idea to replace the single pot brake master assembly with a more recent dual pot one and separate the front and rear brakes. I like small block v-8 power, but the folks on slantsix.org have done lots of cool (and fast) stuff with their six bangers. I've got one that I have yet to start working on, a '63 dart 170.
