cliff,, kool where did you find the plug to modify the shift pattern,,??i was in detroit at auto rama i went with a engineer from chrysler,,i asked about the 1 to 4 skip,,,he told me its a fuel mileage deal,,i asked and what about the clutch taking a beating from the car being lugged down,,he had no answer,, told me the viper and corvettes do the same thing,, so cliff i was thinking,,and chuckling,,im guessing since you didnt experience it,does that meen when you pulled out of the dealership when you first picked it up,,you hammered it ?? lmao, kool |

Hey Fstfish66, I got the "plug" and installed it last night... takes only about 5 minutes to install... No, I did not "hammer it" when I left the dealership... LOL The only way you fall into the "Skip Shift" mode is when you are doing 19 to 21 mph in first gear and then shift... Below 19 or above 21 it shifts normal. Most of the time, I shift out of 1st gear at about 25 mph, so that's why I hardly ran into the "Skip" deal. Well, now that I have the MOD, it's a non-issue. Oh, I got it at BMC Performance over at the SRTconnection Forum. BMC is a sponsor there. Anyway, thanks for the heads up you gave me about that Skip Shift plug mod... It helped me track down the "fix" before it became an issue. SRT Clif 65 B'cuda Formula "S" 4 Speed 09 SRT-8 Challenger 6 Speed |

No, it won't void the 3 year warranty... But, I could just unplug it in about 60 seconds since I know exactly where it's at now... It's literally just a plug in! I never really worry about the warranty.. I tend to do my own work even when I have one. Dealerships are to SLOW for me! |

The Plug is sold by BMC Performance and they can be found on the SRTConnection.com forums. The BMC # for the Skip Shift Eliminator is IZM993 and was $18.88 plus shipping & handling. SRTCLIF |
