Hey Niel thanks for sending out the email and reminding me of this board. For those of you who don't know me or haven't been able to keep up with the latest news from the 1320 I'll fill you in alittle. We race a 66 Cuda..better known as "Fish Fry", she sports a 318 with the original 273 Iron heads and rods....sounds pretty boring right???? How about 12.186 @ 109.50....now I've got your attention......LOL No Giggle Gas, no blower..just a single Demon Carb and 3225#'s of Mopar Muscle. |

We run a custom grind Huggin's cam, the numbers came from painstaking hours of work on the computer running hundreds of possible combinations. We run a Dana 60 with 4.56 gears, gun drilled axles and a titanium spool. Any of you Guy's remember last Decembers issue of Mopar Muscle Magazine?...the baddest 318 they could find was a 318 powered 66 Barracuda in PA.,12.46, they didn't look hard enough.... |

....so just how do you beat a 7.56 second 186 MPH Chebby powered Dragster with a 318?
You give him a .503 light to chew on and run a 12.228 on a 12.22....LOL 1st round...your outta here! |

That's it for now, hope ya'll enjoy the pics I gotta get out in the garage and finish the new fuel delivery system and Mighty Demon install on a 69-401 AMX. ....at least it's not one of those rare and exotic 84 Camaro's 350/350 with 350 gears.... |

well, that motor isn't technically a 318 anymore. Its a 349, because if I remember correctly you are running a 3.58" stroke crank. The only reason I think MM never considered you for the small block shootout is because you're in Oregon and the shootout was in NY or NJ. still impressive numbers nonetheless. I'm currently designing a 328 that's hopefully going to propel a 3700# car into the 14s with 3.23 gears and be docile enough for the street... |

Hey Zappa! Good to see your still around...I guess I should tell the story of the HUGHES convertor that balooned out and ate the thrust bearing and crankshaft... Later ...got to go out of towm tommorrow and need to hit the rack |
