What's available in diecast for the 1965 Barracuda? I haven't been able to find anything. A friend of mine brought a catalog of diecast cars into work last week and it's amazing all the obscure diecast cars that are made (a friend of his was contacted by a manufacturer to make a diecast model of his 1949 Cadillac hearse), but no early A-bodies? I might try contacting some of the manufacturers and see if they're interested in making something like a 1965 Barracuda Formula S. Don |

There was a website with a bunch of them shown, but I can't find it now. There's the Racing Champions Richard Petty version which is really small (1:64) It's supposed to be a '65, but it's a '66 instead..someone messed up. I have one, I opened it and I've thought about taking my Dremel to try and make it a '65, but I don't think it'll work.
Erik has a page about these, showing 3 different ones, but not the one I have, so I guess there's 4 different versions. http://www.earlycuda.org/photos/models/small.htm Then there's the one Becca has, the one made by Cragstan/Sabra that's 1:43, made in Brazil I think it is. There's the larger Hemi under Glass ones (1:18 I think) and the plastic dealer demos, some with friction motors and some without.
Then there's the AMT plastic model kits too, 1:24 scale and a red 1:32 scale.
There's the Ideal Motorific, some green and lately someone found an NOS case of red/black ones that have flooded ebay.
Did I miss anything? |

Oh ya, while we're at it, how about the '66 Barracuda pedal car? It was on ebay a few years ago.

| I guess we never really answered the original question - Is there a '65 Barracuda Die Cast and I guess the answer is NO. |

Oh ya, there's also this dark blue version of the promo (baby blue one pictured above). The baby blue one and this one both have a Valiant script on the back.
